For years, when friends would tell us they were taking a trip to Australia we would beg them to bring us back one thing.  No, not a baby kangaroo or a handsome surfer from Bondi Beach, although both sound nice—we wanted something even better: Lucas’ Papaw Ointment.

Created over 100 years ago, the miracle salve, with an almost cult-like following, can be used on everything from chapped lips and sunburns, to rashes and dry cuticles—it really does it all!  We don’t know if it’s the glossy red packaging, or the fact that it makes our skin feel baby soft, but we have to admit we just can’t get enough of the stuff.  Thankfully it’s now available at a few select spots in the USA…not as much fun perhaps as a trip to the ‘land down under’, but a tad bit easier.
