I can’t tell you how many times I get stopped in airports and hotels from people asking me about this bag.  It always makes me laugh because I literally search the world for exotic, unique, hard-to-find gear and, I mean, hello, it’s good ol’ L.L.Bean. So, while I’d love to say: Oh, this old thing? I picked it up yeeeeears ago in a little shop somewhere on the outskirts of London (sounds convincing, right?!)…I am taking the high rode and confessing to my easy, breezy, L.L.Bean style crush. Now that the cat is out of the, um, bag…let’s discuss why it’s so great. This tote instantly makes any outfit ‘cool’ and it truly stands up to all the junk I stuff it with.  I frequently use it as a carry-on, but it also doubles as the perfect weekend-tote and it even sometimes comes with me to the farmers market on Sunday mornings, and the gym on…well…that one time a year that I dress up and pretend to go. Let’s just agree to call it Private Benjamin chic!
