Whenever I am traveling I always make sure to pack something comfy to lounge around in.  There’s often some downtime between when I shower in the evening and need to start getting ready for dinner, or when I wake up in the morning but am not quite ready to get dressed yet—or maybe I need to run down the hall to a friend’s room or to the hotel lobby and I just need something to throw on quickly (ok, ok, you get the idea).  My favorite thing to pack for these occasions is a pair of delicious, cashmere sweatpants (I mean, is there anything better than cashmere?! No, no there is not). They’re actually great all-year-round because in the summer months there is usually air conditioning blasting, and during the winter, well it’s just bloody cold!  This pair from J.Crew has been my go-to for a few years now (confession: I have them in all the colors)—I’ve taken them everywhere from Tokyo to Palm Springs and I’m always grateful that I packed them!  I wear them with the matching sweater and it’s seriously the perfect lounge ensemble.  Plus, it also doubles as a great outfit to wear on the plane (style it with some cool sneakers, a fabulous jacket, and a chic Louis Vuitton duffle bag, and away you go!).
