When I’m traveling for an extended period of time (that’s code for ‘living out of a suitcase’) I don’t always have time to get a proper manicure before I’m off to the next destination (and I think having nice looking nails is important—especially when you’re traveling and meeting new people). I always make sure to pack my carry-on bag with nail polish remover pads from RGB Cosmetics. They are soooo easy and convenient to pop in my bag and they really do work well. I often give myself a quick touch-up; light pink and red are my go-to colors (the color above is Dovima by Nars and it’s such a fabulous red…I’m heading to Miami so I wanted something fun!). But even if you don’t feel qualified to apply your own polish (beauty school dropout?), I recommend at least removing your chipped and grown-out polish and simply applying a great clear coat instead (this one makes your nails super shiny and glossy!). A good hand cream is also necessary to have at the ready—hands and cuticles get so dry when you’re traveling—and Byredo’s Bal D’Afrique smells divine (plus I love the classic black & white packaging).
Oh, while the champagne in the picture looks pretty it’s actually ‘liquid courage’ as I’m terrified of flying!
