While I might wear flip-flops out to the pool when I’m home in LA, I never really think to pack them for a trip…I guess I want to bring something ‘nicer’ when I travel—whatever that means.
So when I saw these metallic slides from none other than Marc Jacobs you can imagine my happiness….the perfect pool shoes had finally been found (sound the trumpets!). I’m planning on packing them for an upcoming trip to Barbados and pairing them with a classic, white, one-piece swimsuit from Eres (they make the best suits…and I’m super into this style lately!), By Terry rose lip balm (which is always in my bag), an adorable straw tote from Anya Hindmarch (love the orange accents), Guerlain’s Jambes de Gazelle bronzing spray (because let’s be honest, I’ll probably be slathering on gallons of sunscreen at the pool and will then be upset that I look like Caspar the Ghost—and all my stylish girlfriends swear by this stuff), and a great denim skirt (I always pack a denim skirt when I’m going to a warm-weather location…it’s ideal to wear day or night and matches effortlessly with everything in my suitcase). Add on a pair of sunglasses, a stack of my favorite fashion magazines, and a fruity cocktail, and the perfect ensemble for a vacation day spent poolside is complete!
