Last weekend I took a getaway with a friend to Palm Springs—it’s one of my favorite escapes from LA because it’s an easy car ride that’s just under 2 hours. The weather was hot (86º) and the pool felt like heaven…here’s a snapshot of what I brought along.

I ran into Barneys to pick up a lip balm before I left and spotted this colorful tote bag from Truss (you can also find Truss bags here and here)—I loved the size and the tribal pattern and I just had to have it!  I got a zillion compliments on it…so I guess everyone else loved it too.

This black and white Gingham one-piece from Solid & Striped has come on a ton of trips with me lately and I’m always so glad I packed it!

I love fruity lip balms and a Rosebud strawberry lip balm is always in one of my bags.

This Instax mini polaroid camera is so much fun—trust me, you need one for your next vacation!

I brought a few different sunscreens from La Roche-Posay, and I also love this particular Kiehl’s sunscreen for my face.

Oh, and my classic shades are from Ray-Ban.
