I’m back in LA for minute (there’s no place like home!) and spent the weekend out in Malibu at a friend’s house.  I had recently seen these banana-print slides at Topshop but I couldn’t tell if they were ‘too’ kitschy or super-cool (it’s always a fine line).  Anyways, I decided that for $35 bucks I couldn’t pass them up and so I slipped them on my feet and headed for the beach.  And my, my, my…sooooo many compliments!  Everyone wanted to know where I got my shoes?!  And when they heard how much they cost, I swear one friend whipped out her phone and ordered them right there on the spot (I love a girl who knows what she wants!).

I paired them with a white t-shirt, denim cut-offs (I love the faded, light-blue color) and a circular, straw bag (it’s so great, right?!).  I also brought an ivory-colored, crocheted bikini which was so chic and had that 70’s, old-skool vibe.

My advice: snap up these fruity slides now for your next beach getaway before all my LA friends buy every pair!
