Diptyque, my favorite, favorite, faaaavorite brand of candles, just came out with the most gorgeous new candle for Valentine’s Day.   Rosa Mundi is wrapped in delicate pistaschio-green paper adorned with the loveliest floral pattern.  The moment I saw it I was reminded of destinations like Miami, Palm Beach, and the Caribbean.  It looks like the wallpaper you’d find in a vintage beach shack in Aruba or decorating the bedroom of an old Palm Beach mansion—love it!  While the scent is ‘rose’ I found it to be very subtle and if traditional rose isn’t really your thing I think you might still want to give it a try because it has notes of currant and bergamot which make it really fresh and clean, plus there are some fruity smells in their too—it’s just so wonderful!!!

It comes in two sizes; regular (found here) and a smaller version (found here), which would be great for travel.  I’m planning on leaving it by my bedside table, next to a pair of matches from a beloved hotel (yes, I still collect matchbooks as souvenirs).  It’ll remind me of happy and warm holidays (and there is nothing better than that!) and make my room smell like heaven.

Oh, did I mention that it’s a limited-edition item…suffice it to say that I bought about a dozen of them!
