I’ll admit when I first saw these Balenciaga slides I wasn’t ‘wowed’ by them—not in the least (quite the opposite, actually).  They just sort of look like leather house slippers and while they made me stop and look I easily passed them by. But over the last few weeks I started feeling differently…and all of a sudden, like a thunderbolt, I had to have them.  I have a tiny size foot (35…sigh) so when I see something I like I have to grab it immediately or it’s gone forever (there are certainly worse problems to have)—luckily, I was able to track down a pair.

These puffy, leather slides are going to be great this spring and summer—and I’m super into the white color.  But they also come in black (which I’m considering), and satin (also fabulous).  These are definitely going into my suitcase for Miami, Tulum, the Bahamas and Bermuda…and I’m guessing they’ll be making an appearance in Greece and Ibiza this summer.  I’m planning on wearing them with lots of dresses and my favorite vintage Levi’s denim shorts from Re/Done, along with this Balenciaga straw tote I told you about in an earlier post.
